Bakewell

Home of the famous Bakewell tart, Bakewell is a must visit town. With beautiful stone architecture, shops and markets, Bakewell is close to many activities from walks, Haddon Hall and the famous Chatsworth House.

On the banks of the river Wye in the Derbyshire White Peaks (Peak District National Park), Bakewell offers a great day out. The town is also home to many artisan food producers, including cheese makers, bakers, and brewers, so there are plenty of opportunities to sample local specialities.
