Filled with lapping streams, and expansive vistas, Kinder Scout is filled with must sees, such as Bronze Age Barrows, or medieval crosses like Edale Cross, placed there in 1157!
For the more daring hikers, Kinder Scout is home to some of the Peak Districts more challenging (but rewarding) trails, like the Pennine way.
Car Parking choices:
The Kinder Scout and Jacob’s Ladder route starts in Edale. Edale is accessible by car or by public transport.
Hayfield (Bowden Bridge car park – the start point of the 1932 Mass Trespass) is another possibility.
