Ladybower Reservoir
Ladybower Reservoir
One of the most famous and beautiful sites in the Peak District. It is a large Y-shaped reservoir in the Upper Derwent Valley, at the heart of the Peak District National Park, also renowned for the drowned villages of Derwent and Ashopton that lie beneath its waters.
Up near to the Derwent Dam, by the Upper Derwent Visitor Centre, you can hire bikes.
Ladybower is surrounded by miles of hiking and cycling routes, and you can even take a boat trip across its blue waters. Trout fishing is also available.
